Where you use our app(s) the following also applies which is also contained in a pop-up alert to you:-

The app collects location data to enable the app to access bluetooth, to communicate with the KANE analyser and process live readings, whilst the app is running in the foreground and background and for geotagging reports to be produced. This runs even when the app is closed or not in use. The app does not track your location nor store this data other than for the purposes of preparing geotagged reports".

We do not gather any sensitive (special category) personal data about you either on our website or in our app(s) such as data about your health. We use Google Analytics software to collect information about how you use kane.co.uk.

Google Analytics stores information about:

  • the pages you visit on kane.co.uk
  • how long you spend on each kane.co.uk page
  • how you got to the site
  • what you click on while you’re visiting the site

We do not collect or store your personal information through Google Analytics (for example your name or address) so this information cannot be used to identify who you are.

Kane International Ltd may contact you via email to invite you to review any services and/or products you received. We use an external company, Trustpilot A/S (“Trustpilot”), to collect your feedback which means that we will share your name, email address and reference number with Trustpilot for the Purpose. We collect information through Google Analytics to monitor how you use the site. We do this to help:

  • make sure the site is meeting the needs of its users
  • make improvements, for example improving site search
